Organisations worldwide are unsure about how to reach net-zero emissions, says a survey by Smart Energy International. The survey found that public and private bodies are taking different approaches.
Many public bodies, including local governments, aim to achieve net-zero through regulation. Private firms, however, are typically focusing on technical innovation and financial investment.
However, both groups agree renewable energy technologies will be key in reaching net-zero. Furthermore, many believe carbon capture technology will play a large part. In conclusion, there is no one-size-fits-all method to achieving the net-zero emissions goal.
