Swiss Startup Neustark Converts CO2 into Construction Materials in Groundbreaking New Plant

Swiss startup Neustark has unveiled a plant that permanently stores CO2 in concrete. The company transforms CO2 emissions into materials for construction. The plant uses a controversial method known as carbon capture and storage (CCS).

CO2 is trapped permanently and its emissions are significantly reduced. This both utilizes and minimizes waste. According to Neustark, it creates construction materials that are just as effective as conventional ones.

The startup has already recycled 1,000 tons of concrete within its first year of operation. It aims to boost its annual handling capacity to 100,000 tons in the near future.
