Peak in Fossil Fuel Demand by 2030 Not Fast Enough, Warns IEA Chief

The chief of the International Energy Agency (IEA) has projected a peak in demand for oil, gas, and coal by 2030. However, the chief warns that this milestone isn’t arriving quickly enough.

The concern lies in the struggle to keep global warming within 1.5 degrees. The current rate of fossil fuel consumption is still too high.

It is important to note that even if we achieve this peak, further efforts will be needed. Reducing the use of non-renewable energy sources will remain crucial.
