G20 Leaders Committed to Boost Renewable Energy, Remain Divided on Phasing Out of Fossil Fuels

G20 leaders have agreed on boosting renewable energy, but didn’t agree on phasing out oil and gas. The deal emphasizes clean energy, and sees fossil fuels playing a role to complement it. Leaders have acknowledged hydrogen and carbon capture as technologies to develop.
